Sioux Falls Canaries Hit Grand Slam with New Menu Items
When you visit the Birdcage for a Canaries game this summer, be prepared to experience a tasty game of baseball and some even tastier food.
Since its inception in 1993, the Sioux Falls Canaries have been known for competitive, entertaining baseball. Now, they've once again placed themselves in scoring position by upping their game when it comes to the quality of concessions warming up in the bullpen.
Last year the Canaries made the commitment to hit a home run with the level of food on deck inside the Birdcage. Gone are the days of just being able to buy hot dogs, peanuts, popcorn, and your favorite soda or brew. As Dakota News Now reports, now while you're watching a little Canaries baseball, be prepared to enjoy things like street corn, an assortment of wraps, and other mouthwatering upper deck delicacies that will definitely not strike out with the fans in attendance.
Canaries chef, Jesse Blodgett, told Dakota News Now, “Last year when we decided to bring concessions in-house we wanted to make concessions here kind of like the fair, where everyone goes to the fair for the rides and everything else, but they also go for the food, that’s one of the big attractions. You don’t just go for one reason. You go for multiple reasons. So that was the attitude that we took in bringing concessions in-house, and it’s been this really fun evolution of finding out what people like, what they don’t like, what they’re excited about, what they’re not excited about.”
The new menu changeup has put the Canaries in the big leagues when it comes to the quality of food on deck during games. I'd be willing to bet once you feast your eyes on all these new menu items being served, it will no doubt leave you wanting to touch 'em all.
Play ball! See you out at the Birdcage for Canaries baseball and all the new eats this summer.
