How are you keeping your creative kids from uttering the dreaded phrase, "I'm bored!" this summer?

A lot of area parents are turning to the Dakota Academy of Performing Arts to keep their kids busy this summer and it's not just the kids who benefit. What are your kids most interested in? Singing? Dancing? The technical side of theater performances?

Dakota Academy of  Performing Arts has a camp for that! They also have a full roster of performances coming up this fall, including Disney's Finding Nemo Jr., Mean Girls Jr., and A Kid's Christmas Carol.

But this week you'll get the chance to see what the kids in the Musical Theater Camp have been up to this summer as they present the new musical Imagine A Dragon.

It's described as an "epic folk-rock musical" that tells the story of the Dancing Dragon Inn and how its innkeepers try to keep its doors open by, perhaps, fudging a dragon tale.

This fun show is coming up at the Belbas Theater this Friday, July 26th at 7 PM and Saturday, July 27th at 2 PM. Tickets are available online or at the door.

For more information on the Dakota Academy of Performing Arts see them online, on Facebook or call 605-367-6000.
