Bowlers from around the globe will soon be converging on the Sioux Empire for a major bowling event rolling into Sioux Falls this August.

It's the Farmers Union Insurance Midwest Open Championship Friday, (August 16) through Sunday, (August 18) at Eastway Bowl.

If you're a bowling enthusiast this is your chance to not only meet but bowl against some of the best professional bowlers in the business.

This three-day event features more than just bowling, as Eastway Bowl General Manager Duncan DeVries and JMar Entertainment Co-Founder Jay Fettig told Dakota News Now, there will also be a Golf Scramble Tournament on Thursday, (August 15) that will be open to all lane sponsors, pros, and other VIP pass holders. In addition to that, there will also be a beer garden, inflatables for kids, karaoke, autograph sessions, bean bag contests, a big banquet on Sunday, and three days of some of the best bowling the Sioux Falls area has ever seen.

There is an entry fee of $295.00, with a prize pool of $30,000 based on 120 entries.

Bowlers can compete against some of the greatest bowlers in the sport, like Marshall Kent, Tom Smallwood, Kevin McCune, Zach Wilkins, Kris Prather, Keven Williams, Jason Sterner, and more!
