What Fast Food Drive-Thru Is the Busiest in All of South Dakota?

Fast food. We all crave it. Be honest now, you know you do. The great majority of the population eats it, often out of necessity, because we're constantly on the go 24/7.

Other times we succumb to the pressure because those little fast-food goblins get into our heads and start tempting our tummies with the taste of burgers, fries, tacos, and pizza pies.

These days consuming fast food is just a matter of convenience for most of us. Not to mention, so many fast food choices taste pretty damn good too!

Like every state in the nation, South Dakota is littered with numerous fast-food restaurants.

We have all the biggies, you know the usual suspects, McDonald's, Burger King, Taco Bell, KFC, Wendy's, Dominos, Sonic, Arby's, and the list goes on.

We also have a few regional faves, and in my opinion, Taco Johns has to top that list. Their Potato Olés are like crack cocaine, very addictive! That my friend is what you call a heap of good eating. Many diets have started as the result of consuming too many containers of crunchy potato goodness.

There's no denying, the popularity of fast food continues to be off the charts here in the U.S.

Back in September, the folks at AllRecipes.com conducted a study to determine which fast food drive-thru's each state is hitting up the most often.

Now before you rush and say Chick-fil-A, just remember, we're talking about the entire state, not just fast food drive-thru's here in Sioux Falls. If that were the case, yes, Chick-fil-A would win hands down. There's no doubt that drive-thru is the definition of being slammed.

You might be surprised to find out, that actually here in South Dakota, the most popular fast-food drive-thru restaurant belongs to the franchise chain Culver's.

Known for its Frozen Custard, ButterBurgers, and those Wisconsin Cheese Curds, Culver's is supposedly the king of the fast food drive-thru mountain throughout all of South Dakota according to the gang at AllReceipes.com.

At last check, there are 11 different Culver's locations statewide.

Nationwide, is a different story. McDonald's drive-thru's still reign supreme, followed by Taco Bell, and Whataburger.
