When Can We Expect Gas Prices to Go Down in Sioux Falls?

According to AAA South Dakota, gas prices can vary quite a bit depending on where you fill up. AAA’s Shawn Steward told Dakota News Now that drivers should take advantage of mobile apps, like AAA’s free gas price finder, to compare prices nearby before stopping to fuel up.

As of June 16, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded in Sioux Falls is around $3.90. If you’ve been paying attention, you’ve probably noticed a few stations are already below that mark, proof that shopping around really can help.

For now, Sioux Falls drivers need to stay patient and keep a close eye on gas prices around town. Hopefully, if global conditions continue to improve, there’s cautious optimism that someday soon, we’ll be back to seeing prices that start with a “2” instead of a “3."
