Police Seek Help To Catch Sioux Falls Counterfeit Bill Suspect
Sioux Falls police are on the hunt for a bold scammer who’s been spreading bogus bills across the city recently, and they’re asking for your help to catch him.
According to Dakota News Now, the most recent incident happened on Friday, September 19, at a business near 12th Street and Kiwanis Avenue. That’s where the suspect allegedly slipped a counterfeit $50 bill past an unsuspecting employee.
But that wasn't the first time.
Investigators quickly linked the same man to a similar stunt just one day earlier at a business near 85th Street and Louise Avenue. Again, the suspect used a fake $50. Detectives believe it’s the same suspect behind both cases.

Here is what is known about the suspect.
Police describe the suspect as an African American male with medium-length dreadlocks. Surveillance footage from both scenes shows him leaving in a black SUV.
Authorities are now turning to the public, hoping someone might recognize him or his vehicle and provide a tip that leads to an arrest.
Got a tip? You could earn $1,000 cash!
If you have any information, you’re urged to contact Crime Stoppers either online or by calling 605-367-7007. All tips are confidential, and you don’t have to give your name.
