Great Plains Zoo Lovers Day Means Free Admission!
So just imagine Christmas is past and the New Year is straight ahead. Your family and all of the people you're still entertaining are itching for something fun to do. The Great Plains Zoo in Sioux Falls has just the thing. It is hosting Zoo Lovers Day!
What this means for you is absolutely free admission on Friday, December 27, from 10 AM to 5 PM.
You can get in on zookeeper chats too:
- 11 AM - Japanese Macaques (Snow monkeys)
- Noon - Snow Leopard
- 1 PM - African Lions
The lion building also has the Meerkat habitat and they are always a ton of fun to watch. The new Pallas kitten has been very active outside lately so you may have a chance to see him too.
Just wander over to the zoo at 805 S. Kiwanis and discover why winter is a perfectly unique time to visit the zoo to see what all the wildlife is up to during these colder months.
Some of them are content to hang out in the colder temps and some hang out indoors for the winter. It is always an adventure at the Great Plains Zoo.
The Roar Cafe will be open and will have a delicious soup and sandwich special going on so you can have a great tummy-warming lunch or snack too.
For more information see the Great Plains Zoo website, follow them on Facebook, or call 605-679-6013.
