Why Some South Dakotans Are Putting Toilet Paper in Their Fridge
If you are putting toilet paper in your fridge, I'm not judging you. Well- - maybe just a little.
Reader's Digest is suggesting that people in South Dakota and all over the US are turning to toilet paper in their fridges as a replacement for baking soda. They say that some hotel chains have been doing this for some time. The thought is that toilet paper's absorbent qualities will also take care of any odor issues you might encounter.
My thought is that I can get a box of baking soda for a lot less than a roll of toilet paper. And how effective is it? Can you use it after you're done absorbing odors and moisture out of the refrigerator? That might be kind of an ick!
At least with baking soda, you can use it to clean your sinks, tubs, etc. And of course, mix it with a little vinegar and you can unclog your slow drains. Try doing that with a smelly, damp roll of toilet paper!
That doesn't even begin to include the weird looks you'll get from family and friends. Plus the fact that toilet paper reminds people of all things "bathroom"- -if you know what I mean.
It takes up more room in your fridge too, than a small box of baking soda. . .
But again, who am I to judge?
