When Will Sioux Falls Fall Foliage Be at Its Peak?

It's hard to believe we're already talking about leaf-peeping in our area, but fall is definitely here. Trees are dropping their leaves in my neighborhood almost faster than they are changing colors.

But for our state and the Sioux Falls area, the 2023 Fall Foliage predictor is saying that we have a ways to go before we really see a lot of color from the majority of our trees. Although there is a maple tree on 22nd Street that would argue that statement!

According to the Fall Foliage predictor, the Sioux Falls area should see peak foliage colors on or about October 30th. By November 6th most of the state will be considered to be past peak.

So if you're a leaf-peeping fanatic, you better get ready for the fall color show!
