Sioux Falls Sets Soggy Sunday Daily Rainfall Record!
Sioux Falls and much of the South Dakota, Minnesota, and Iowa tri-state area saw non-stop record-breaking rain on Sunday.
According to the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls Rainfall at the Sioux Falls airport on Sunday, April 28th was 1.64".
This set a new daily rainfall record, breaking the previous record of 1.33" which was set in 1896!
Our 3-day total is now 2.72" & we are 1.73" ABOVE normal since January 1st.

Today: Cloudy, with a high near 56. West wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming clear, with a low around 40. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable.
Tuesday: Showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1pm. High near 70. Southeast wind 10 to 15 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 41. Breezy, with a west northwest wind 15 to 20 mph decreasing to 5 to 10 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of showers after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 65. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east southeast in the afternoon.
