If you've taken your children to the Children's Museum of South Dakota in Brookings, you may have found yourself thinking, "Why should kids get to have all the fun?"

That's precisely why the Children's Museum came up with the idea for "Museum After Dark". So many people were saying that they wished they could spend some time playing at the museum, just like their kids, but without them.

Museum After Dark is coming once again to the Children's Museum of South Dakota in Brookings at 521 4th Street, on Friday, April 25, from 7 to 10 PM. You'll find out that you're never too old to play!

You get to play in all the exhibits in the museum, plus there will be some wildly fun activities like:

  • Light Bright Pictionary
  • Hungry Hungry Hippos
  • Supermarket Sweep
  • Throwing Things Off the Balcony
  • Cornhole
  • Retro Art Projects
  • Much more!

The museum is partnering with Wooden Legs Brewing Company for the evening's beer selection. Beer, seltzer, and non-alcoholic options are an additional charge and can be purchased on-site.

Cafe Coteau will have delicious pizza available for purchase as well.

If you're coming from out of town to Brookings and want to stay the night, the museum has worked out some discounted hotel rates with Holiday Inn & Suites (605-692-9060) and the Hampton Inn (605-697-5232).

You can also make reservations by phone using the name Museum After Dark. Make your reservations this week, the rooms will be released on Monday, April 7.

Get your tickets now. They're only $15 each, and you'll have a blast spending some time like a kid again. So, round up some friends and get ready to "kid around" at Museum After Dark!
