Two Minnesota Cities On List of Best Recreation Places In U.S.
What makes a city a great recreation spot? If you believe Wallet Hub's latest study, it has a lot to do with physical activity, both indoors and out. It also has a lot to do with entertainment opportunities or leisure activities.
And for the purposes of this study, these cities have to be one of the 100 largest in the country.
So which two Minnesota cities ended up under the magnifying glass? Minneapolis and St. Paul - of course.
St. Paul actually ended up higher on the roster in 26th position than Minneapolis did in 32nd place. But both cities did very well compared to many of the others.
There were four categories each city was examined in, entertainment and recreational facilities, costs, quality of parks, and weather.

Under these categories, they looked at items like the number of parks, hiking trails, music venues, theaters, coffee shops, pools, bowling alleys, the kind of weather the cities have, what entertainment options cost, and a whole lot more.
The takeaway here is that plenty of recreational activities lead to healthier lifestyles and this leads to a healthier economy.
So for Twin Cities residents this turns out to be a whole lot of good news!
