One Minnesota City Makes Top 15 Of Best Football Cities
What makes a city a great football city? It's really a culture thing, isn't it? For a lot of football fans, it's not just the games themselves; it's all about tradition. Minneapolis just made Wallet Hub's list of Best and Worst Football Cities. It landed in 13th place out of 253 cities.
Of course, the Minnesota Vikings have a very dedicated fan base in their "Skol Nation". They stay with their team through all the ups and downs, and around here, have a saying at the beginning of every new season, "This is the year!"
They also have U.S. Bank Stadium, one of the loudest stadiums in the NFL. And the tailgating alone is a rowdy cultural tradition that lots of fans participate in.

Wallet Hub analyzed 253 cities with at least one college or professional team across numerous categories, beginning with large (more than 300,000), mid-size (100 to 300 thousand people), and small (fewer than 100,000) cities.
They took into consideration the number of NFL Championships, the number of Hall-of-Fame head coaches, average ticket prices, stadium capacity, attendance, and more.
When it came to college football, they looked for much the same things, attendance, number of championships, minimum ticket prices, the number of Hall-of-Fame head coaches, and more.
In the college football category, the SDSU Jackrabbits got high praise in the best performance category for small football cities, coming in at number 1!
