Hidden Igloo Bar is Found on a Frozen Minnesota Lake

Sports on T.V., beer, piping hot food; this one-of-a-kind bar has a little bit of everything. In fact, you can even fish from your own barstool.

The only problem is it's only around a few months a year.

Finding this hidden gem isn't exactly easy. But if you ask the locals, they'll point you in the right direction.

So Where Can You Find The Igloo Bar?

The Igloo Bar is found on the massive, Lake of the Woods, which occupies parts of Ontario and Manitoba, Canada, along with the U.S. state of Minnesota. The bar isn't actually made of ice, it's just a cool cover, but it is found ON the ice, which, to my knowledge, is a distinction no other bar in America can claim.

The bar is located on the U.S. side of the border with Canada and is part of the Zippel Bay Resort area of the lake.

It is located not on mainland but out on frozen Lake of the Woods.  It is loaded with big screen TV’s, electric lights, running water, a bar, limited hot food menu, and heated porta-potties that look like little igloos. It’s unlike anything else on the lake. This year the bar is located in its usual position out on the lake on Zippel Bay Reef.
