Cool Restaurant Opens In Small Iowa Town Just East Of Sioux Falls

You may think CHUD's Pub and Grub has a funny name, but Kellie and Dan Stark are very serious about what they're doing at their restaurant near Larchwood, Iowa.

The CHUDS name was just something they came up with in a conversation one day, but the food and the desire to serve customers well is something they've been working hard at for a while.

Kellie and Dan have both been in the culinary business in their respective roles of cook and bartender for years. Their dream was to have their own restaurant and it took two years of looking in Sioux Falls before they turned their thoughts elsewhere.

Kellie said that they "wanted something that would draw people out of town to help support a growing community that has additional small businesses".

So- - they purchased a former clothing boutique on the west edge of  Larchwood and got busy converting it into the family-friendly bar and grill it has become.

Kellie is the chef with an amazing menu of ever-changing goodies and Dan handles the bar putting his creativity into drink specials. Their staff is from the local community and they say they could not be happier with their decision to be there.

They draw a big crowd from surrounding towns like Brandon, Rock Rapids, Harrisburg,  Canton, and even east-side Sioux Falls.
