The entire world is captivated at the moment by the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.
The Summer Olympic Games run through Sunday, (August 11), and just in case you haven't been paying attention, South Dakota has some representation in this year's summer games.
Sioux Falls native Taryn Kloth is participating in Olympic Beach Volleyball. She made her debut on Saturday, (July 27), and needless to say it was a good day at the office for the former O'Gorman High School student.

According to Dakota News Now, she and her former LSU teammate Kristen Nuss, also representing the United States, took care of the Canadian volleyball team via a sweep, 21-17 and 21-14, in their first match in Pool B Play.
Taryn finished the day with 10 attack points in the match.
Just ten years ago, Taryn held the title of being the best volleyball player in all of South Dakota, now she is one of the top players in the entire world as she and her teammates go for the gold in women's beach volleyball during the summer 2024 Olympic games.
Throughout the history of the Olympics, 23 South Dakota-born athletes have competed in the Summer Games.
Nine of those 23 South Dakota-born athletes went on to capture the gold, three received silver medals, and a total of six South Dakota Olympians picked up the bronze.
Taryn and her team will continue their pursuit of Olympic greatness later today when they play their next match against Australia at 3:00 PM Central.
