Sioux Falls Homicide Suspect in Custody

A Sioux Falls man is in custody with a connection to a homicide that was reported shortly after 9:00 PM on Friday night (January 6) in an apartment building near East Eighth Street and North Cleveland Avenue.

KDLT TV is reporting that authorities have arrested 25-year-old Joshua Rayvon LeClaire of Sioux Falls.

LeClaire was taken into custody early Sunday morning (January 8) in connection with the death of 28-year-old transgender female Jamie Lee WoundedArrow.

The body of WoundedArrow was found on Friday night after a neighbor reported a "strong odor" coming from the victims apartment.

According to authorities, LeClaire is suspected of killing WoundedArrow and is currently being held as a parole absconder and for narcotics charges.

Additional charges are forthcoming and will be filed in a few days.
