The very first Saturday in the Park was in 1991. Now 31 years later, the event is still going strong.

Who is performing at Sioux City's Saturday in the Park?

This year's lineup has a bit of something for everybody on the main stage.

The Avett Brothers are an Americana/Folk band. They've released 10 studio albums and are Grammy-nominated! They first played Saturday in the Park back in 2014 and now they're headlining!

Buddy Guy is a legendary blues artist that has been in the business forever. He just released his 18th solo album entitled, The Blues Is Alive and Well.

Elle King is a rock/blues/pop artist that has had huge hits with "Exes and Oh's" and "America's Sweetheart". She has also had duets with the likes of Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley. Fun fact: She is the daughter of actor, Rob Schneider!

Daisy the Great is actually a duo made up of Kelley Nicole Dugan and Mina Walker. They are a folk/indie group that has worked with one of last year's headliners, AJR.

Artificial Stars and Servant Shop are both local, Sioux City bands! Good for them making it to the main stage!

The second stage, or the Abe Stage has a full lineup as well!

  • Fetty Wap
  • Black Pistol Fire
  • Ghetto Socks + Jeff Spec + Chaix
  • The Impulsive
  • The $ound In$urgent
  • RenØ
  • Johnny Marz
  • Fall of Kings
  • C-Note/ MIL Music

You may know Fetty Wap from his hits like "Trap Queen" and "679".

The festivities begin at noon and the night always concludes with a huge fireworks display! It is the 4th of July weekend after all!

Inside Minnesota's Largest Candy Store

I had been to Minnesota's Largest Candy Store once before, but they did some pretty cool things since the last time I was there. They added a bunch of superheroes, Star Wars stuff, and a candy band.

According to their Facebook page, Jim's Apple Farm is actually how the now huge candy store got its start. It is located in Jordan, MN and you can't miss it. It is a huge yellow building.

Even though candy is mentioned in the name, they have a little bit of everything. They have fresh baked pies and cookies and fudge. We walked in and it smelled amazing!

They also have the largest selection of sodas! Then there is chocolate and taffy and gummies and chips and puzzles and games. So much stuff!

They even have a Zoltar machine like in the movie, Big. I had to check that out. He told me the only helping hand is at the end of my arm. Gee, thanks Zoltar.

There were even crickets and worms! Not gummy worms, but actual worms.
They also have candy from all over the world!

The store is seasonal, however. November is their last month of operation for the season.
