Lots Of Major Street Closing News For Nov. In Sioux Falls
The City of Sioux Falls sent out a list of some of the major street construction projects for November 2023.
This could affect your work commute and the way you navigate the city.
Lane Closures: 11th Street and Dakota Avenue
Beginning on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at the northwest corner of the intersection of West 11th Street and South Dakota Avenue, the far left eastbound lane on 11th Street and the far left northbound lane on Dakota Avenue will be closed to allow construction crews to upgrade the ADA accessible curb ramp.
Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be completed within two weeks.
Lane Closure: 10th Street
Beginning on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, the outside eastbound lane on East 10th Street will be closed between Mable Avenue and Highland Avenue.
Q3 will be working in the area. This work is anticipated to be completed by the end of the day.
Lane Closure: Marion Road
Beginning on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, the outside southbound lane of South Marion Road will be closed between 12th Street and Dardanella Road to allow crews to perform sidewalk repairs.
Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be completed within one week.
Street Closure: Career Avenue
Beginning on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, North Career Avenue will be closed between Marion Road and Frank Boyce Drive. A detour to West Madison Street will be signed.
Veldhouse will be working on new utilities. This work is anticipated to be completed in one week.

Beginning on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, West University Trail will be closed between Graduate Avenue and Marion Road.
Smart Commercial Construction Co. will be working on new utilities. This work is anticipated to be completed in one week.
Alley and Parking Closure: Phillips Avenue and Sixth Street
Beginning on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, the palley / parking lot directly north and west of 401 North Phillips Avenue / 100 West Sixth Street will be closed.
Soukup Construction, Inc. will be working on parking lot repairs. The work is expected to be completed before the end of the day Thursday, November 2, 2023.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
