Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken has broken his silence on who he's supporting in the race for South Dakota Governor.

In a press conference and new release, Mayor Paul TenHaken is formally endorses the incumbent Larry Rhoden in his reelection bid as South Dakota Governor.

Who's in the Republican Governor Nomination Run-Off Election?

Governor Larry Rhoden and South Dakota business man Toby Doeden are back on the campaign trails asking for votes and support from communities across the 605. This runoff election to determine a candidate for governor is a first for South Dakota. Why is there a runoff? Neither received 35% of the vote during the June 2nd Election.

When it comes to the type of leader Larry Rhoden is, Mayor Paul TenHaken explains in a press release that Larry's "character" alone is something he can get behind. Not to mention the work they have accomplished together.

“When I look at all the stuff we’ve gotten done in 18 months, it’s really quite remarkable. There’s really, in my opinion, one guy who’s the right guy to lead this state for the next four years. I’m excited to endorse the Rhoden campaign for Governor. I have never heard anyone question this guy’s morals, his ethics, his faith, or his character. And to me, those are the things that matter.”

Governor Larry Rhoden says in a Facebook post that he's "honored" and "proud" to have support from Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken.
