Winning the lottery feels like it's almost impossible. But it does happen to very lucky people who purchase these life-changing tickets.

At the time of this post, the new Powerball Jackpot total for Wednesday night's drawing is around $546 million. Can you imagine winning this?! Well, right now no one really can. Why? Let's just say it's been a while since someone has won the Powerball Jackpot.

It's close to being one of the top jackpots in Powerball Jackpot history. But regardless if it's a record-breaking amount or not, winning over $500 million is a big deal.

After Monday night's drawing (July 3rd), no one matched all six numbers in order to win the previous $522 million prize. These were the winning Powerball Jackpot numbers from Monday's drawing:

15, 26, 31, 38, 61, and the Powerball is 3

Don't worry: There is still another chance for you to become a millionaire! The next drawing for the Powerball Jackpot will be Wednesday, July 5th (today). In case you're on the fence, there have been recent winners in South Dakota, Minnesota, and Iowa. During the Powerball Jackpot drawing on Saturday, June 24th, there was an Iowa ticket that was so close to winning the previous $424 million jackpot. The lucky Iowa ticket matched five out of the six numbers and had a power play. See...winning big money from the lottery can happen!

If you happen to be a South Dakota Powerball winner in the future, sign the back of your ticket and take it to a South Dakota Lottery validation center. More information can be found here.

Good luck to everyone!
