I know 50 burgers is a lot to eat in this year's Downtown Sioux Falls Burger Battle. But we all know someone is going to try to complete the impossible!

I'm pretty sure I can't handle all 50 burgers. However, that won't stop me from giving as many burger reviews as I can! The next burger on our adventure is from Severance Brewing Company with Rudy M. Navarrete's Tex-Mex Food Truck.

According to a previous article from my co-worker Jeff Harkness, Severance Brewing Company and Rudy M. Navarrete's Tex-Mex Food Truck have teamed up to create the "Mama Mia Burger." It's "a garlic-toasted tomato basil bun from Breadsmith is stacked with provolone, red onion and an Italian-seasoned all-beef slider that’s stuffed with fresh mozzarella and pepperoncini and then smothered with a homemade marinara. Topped with freshly grated Parmesan and crushed croutons. Garnished with fresh jalapeno and a side of Italian goulash." It's a small but mighty meal.

I really enjoyed the Mama Mia burger. It was like a pizza was transformed into a burger. As an Italian and someone who is a big fan of Italian cuisine, this burger hit the spot. The goulash was a nice addition, too. I only wish it were a little bigger! It felt like this was a perfect appetizer. On the bright side, the burger is very affordable and costs only $10.
