The Great Place To Work Certification is based on anonymous employee feedback. Survey results indicated Hy-Vee employees view the company as a supportive, people-first workplace with opportunities for career growth.
Hy-Vee also stood out for its support of veterans. The company employs more than 1,500 veterans and sponsors programs, including annual Veterans Day Breakfasts and the Hy-Vee Homefront initiative. Of the 35 companies honored with the DAV Patriot Employer Award this year, Hy-Vee was one of only eight to receive the additional Special Recognition designation.
In addition, Hy-Vee was named a Best Place for Working Parents for the fourth consecutive year. The recognition highlights family-friendly policies such as childcare discounts, tuition assistance, and grocery savings.
