Everything You Need to Know About the Sidewalk Arts Festival
The forecast for Saturday, September 9, 2017 is sunny and 77. I would say that is the perfect forecast for the downtown Sidewalk Arts Festival.
Hundreds of people flock to downtown Sioux Falls to find a unique piece of jewelry, an art piece, glass work, soaps, and so much more.
I am a huge art glass fanatic, so I enjoy looking at the one-of-a-kind pieces. I also like to go to the Festival to get ideas on things I can create at home. The food is also a big attraction.
The Sidewalk Arts Festival is from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM and is located on Main and Dakota Avenues from 10th to 12th Street, 11th Street from Minnesota Avenue to Main Avenue and in the First Lutheran parking lots just south of the Washington Pavilion. You'll find over 300 vendors featuring fine art, folk art and craft artisans, along with plenty of food vendors, children's activities and live entertainment.
The Sidewalk Arts Festival is a fundraiser for the Visual Arts Center at the Washington Pavilion. The money raised helps bring exhibitions to the Pavilion along with art classes and permanent collections.
When you want to take a break from browsing and shopping, enjoy entertainment on the Community Stage at 11th and Main.
