With Sioux Falls' ever-expanding culinary scene, it's getting harder and harder to keep tabs what's out there when it comes to planning an evening out.

But there is a group in town that is helping to take some of the guesswork out of the downtown dining scene by giving you a chance to get an inside look at various restaurants while you sample items from their menus.

Sioux Falls Food Tours hosts monthly events, typically on Saturday afternoons from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, where $69 covers tastings, taxes, and adult beverages.

The tours are conducted by Dana Wohlwend, who founded the company in 2017.

Upcoming tours include:

  • December 21 - Woodgrain Brewing Company
  • December 28 - Fernson Brewing Downtown
  • January 4 - Monk's House of Ale Repute

According to the calendar on the company's website, the tours rotate throughout the downtown area and have also stopped by:

  • Gandy Dancer Brew Works
  • Ode to Food and Drink
  • Severance Brewing
  • Josiah's
  • Remedy Brewing

There have even been neighborhood tours and brunch tours in the past.

You can even create your own private tour for groups from two to 20 people.
