
Cottage Cheese Sold At Iowa Walmarts Recalled Heath Risk
Cottage Cheese sold at Walmart stores in Iowa and other states is being recalled due to a significant health risk.
Shoppers who recently purchased Great Value cottage cheese from Walmart stores in Iowa and across the country should check their refrigerators immediately.

A significant recall has been issued over concerns that the product may not have been fully pasteurized, posing a serious health risk to consumers.
The recall affects cottage cheese produced by Saputo Cheese USA Inc. and sold under Walmart's Great Value label.
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, liquid dairy ingredients used in the products may not have been properly pasteurized, a critical food safety step that eliminates harmful bacteria.
While no illnesses have been reported at this time, the FDA warns that consuming improperly pasteurized dairy products can pose a significant health risk, particularly for young children, the elderly, and individuals with weakened immune systems.
The affected cottage cheese was distributed to Walmart stores and distribution centers in Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, Tennessee, Utah, Washington and Wyoming between February 17 and February 20, 2026and distribution centers across 24 states, including Iowa, between February 17 and February 20, 2026. Other states impacted include Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and many others spanning from Alaska to Wyoming.
If you purchased Great Value cottage cheese from Walmart during this period, do not consume it.
Check the product label for recall information and return the item to your nearest Walmart store for a full refund.
