Construction in South Sioux Falls to Slow down Commute Times
Be prepared to have your commute time through a portion of South Sioux Falls to be bogged down for a few weeks as road crews reconstruct an area around 69th street and Western Avenue.
KDLT News is reporting that traffic lanes on 69th Street from Landau Circle to Minnesota Avenue have transferred to the South side of the street as the construction project gets underway.
The city hopes to have all the traffic lanes in that area fully open again in the coming weeks, and the entire project fully wrapped up by the spring.
Also, if your travels will take you near 57th Street between Minnesota and Western avenues today, KDLT News reports that construction crews are making storm drainage repairs in that area. You can expect to encounter intermittent lane closures in both directions through mid October while repairs are underway.
So as my wife is so found of saying, be ready to put your patient pants on, as you motor through the southern part of town the next few weeks.
