You want to say no. Don't you? Go ahead but Google research tells a different story.

Because there has been so much conversation lately about foreign objects flying and or floating over our country, of course, peoples' minds wander into E.T. territory. When one of the U.S. generals says they're not ruling out extraterrestrials, that's an eye-opener!

But what story do the numbers tell us about which states are the most obsessed with our "brothers from alien mothers"?

Top Ten UFO-Obsessed States

  1. Vermont
  2. Wyoming
  3. Alaska
  4. North Dakota
  5. Rhode Island
  6. Delaware
  7. New Hampshire
  8. Texas
  9. New Mexico
  10. South Dakota

There it is.

Google research indicates that over the last year searches online for all things UFO has increased by 71% in South Dakota. And, 43 out of every 1,000 of us are doing some sort of online search pertaining to UFOs.

What does South Dakota have in common with these other UFO-obsessed states?

Well, a couple of us have lots of wide open spaces with small populations. Perhaps the other four states have people with a lot of time on their hands and very active imaginations.

That's not to say there's nothing out there. The late, great astronomer Carl Sagan said, "Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known!" He also thought that it was pure self-centeredness to think that in all of the universe, we are the only intelligent beings that exist.
