What will make this Canaries' baseball season so different?

John Gaskins, the Director of Game Operations & Entertainment, says they're taking a "wrecking ball" to the excuse, "I don't like baseball!"  They want the Birdcage to once again be a go-to entertainment venue, where a baseball game just happens to be going on.

So how are they accomplishing this?

  • Daily deals on tickets, food, and drinks almost every night there is a home game.
  • Fans will immediately notice the new half-a-million-dollar Daktronics video board.
  • The all-new Fun Zone for kids has bounce houses and Rainbow Play System equipment.
  • Both bars have been refurbished.
  • Cagey & Peep will be mingling with fans, plus there will be new mascots including a happy shark, a minion, a T-Rex, and Sumo wrestlers
  • Players will be signing autographs and taking pictures with kids and fans
  • Cardboard cut-outs will be around the stadium that should make for laughs and fun pictures
  • Live and local musicians

Just a small sample:

  • Thursday, May 20 - Seinfeld No Soup for You Night!
