Lake Lorraine Welcomes Urban Thread’s Unique Shopping Experience
There is a brand new addition to your shopping choices in the Lake Lorraine area as of this Friday, September 12.
A mother-daughter duo, Jennifer and Maysa Kruse, is going into business with their new shop, Urban Thread. It is a new and used clothing and goods exchange store. You'll find it at 2564 S. Lorraine Place on the east side of the development.

Store hours are Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 6 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM to 4 PM.
The storefront features 1800 square feet of curated items from vintage to upscale clothing and furniture, and home décor. The Kruses have been doing this on the side for a while, but wanted to open a brick-and-mortar store.
Jennifer spent 25 years in the healthcare field, and Maysa was interested in opening a clothing store. They decided to go into business together as equal partners and combine their love of clothing and décor.
“Some décor is new, and we also have used, upcycled, and vintage, too,” Jennifer said. They’re open to working with artists who could bring in repurposed décor to consign, too.

Jennifer also said that they want to show people how easy it is to make old things look new.
