Throwback Thursday- ‘Give It To You’ by Jordan Knight (1999)

My trek into people from groups going solo continues with another New Kid on the Block, Jordan Knight.

Jordan Knight is my least favorite boyband member ever! But alas, I'll give him a throwback moment.

"Give It To You" was Jordan's first solo single off of his album, Jordan Knight.

It is his highest charting solo song. It went to #10 on Billboard Hot 100. 

The music video features Jordan Knight at a fair or carnival of some sort trying to get the attention of a homely carnival worker. Then all of a sudden, with some magic out of the movie Grease handbook, she's hot!

However, if it is carnival/fair season, it is probably Summer, so why is he in a turtleneck and a jacket!

The music video was nominated for Best Dance Video at the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards, but it lost to Ricky Martin's "Livin La Vida Loca."

And if you're wondering why Jordan Knight is my least favorite boy band member ever, I'll give you the condensed version. When this song came out, Jordan Knight played a bowling alley in Sioux City. Yes, a bowling alley. I was so excited. I brought along some New Kids on the Block stuff to get signed. However, after the show, Jordan hid out in a Dodge Durango while all his fans waited outside. He didn't take any pictures or sign anything. Not one thing. I know he has said he suffers from anxiety issues in the past, but he didn't look anxious to me. He looked annoyed that he just played a bowling alley in Sioux City, IA and wanted to get the heck out of there even though his devoted fans were waiting. But, I digress.
