Tea Woman Wielding a Sword Arrested In Sioux Falls Parking Lot
Some of the daily events happening in Sioux Falls and the surrounding area seem to be getting more and more stranger with every passing day.
A great example of this occurred on Friday, (November 15) when a Tea, South Dakota woman was arrested for threatening people with a full-length sword.
Dakota News Now reports the incident happened just before 1:00 PM Friday near 60th Street North and Cliff Avenue.
Police say 45-year-old Rosa Sosa was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault on law enforcement as well as an additional charge of aggravated assault.
According to Dakota News Now, a resident was warming their car up in a parking lot when Sosa approached the victim brandishing a sword and threatened them.
Police were called to the scene, and once they arrived they made contact with the suspect who identified herself as Sosa.
Sosa wasn't too keen on going with authorities peacefully, as police were forced to deploy their tasers to take her into custody.
Dakota News Now reports that no one was hurt as a result of the incident.
In addition to her swashbuckling sword, a small amount of marijuana was also found on Sosa at the time of her arrest.
