In a year that's been practically devoid of all live concert entertainment, the people of the Sioux Empire are about to get a little unexpected musical treat later this month.

The Swiftel Center in Brookings is planning on holding a Beatles vs. the Stones tribute show on Thursday (October 22).

Dakota News Now reports this Beatles vs. Stones showdown scheduled for Brookings is part of a 125 city tour that is currently rolling through the United States, Australia, and Canada.

Two separate bands will be performing a two-hour show starting at 8 PM that evening, which will feature a selection of some of the more popular songs from both the Beatles and the Rolling Stones storied careers.

Each band will be doing three sets of music, then the evening will conclude with an encore performance done together by both bands.

Tickets for this special musical showdown are selling between $39.00 and $59.00 and can be purchased here.

According to Dakota News Now, The Swiftel Center plans on taking extra precautions the evening of the show to help keep guests healthy and safe. COVID-19 social distancing practices will be in play. Swiftel team members will also be wearing masks, and plan to frequently clean and disinfect the venue while the performance is going on.

Concert goers are encouraged to wear masks, but they will not be required the night of the show.
