South Dakota Rolls out New ‘myDrive605′ for Vehicle Registrations
Here goes South Dakota again, attempting to make it easier for its residents to own a motor vehicle in the state.
On Monday, (February 17) the South Dakota Department of Revenue’s Motor Vehicles Division rolled out its new motor vehicle title and registration system.
Dakota News Now reports that the new my605Drive online portal will replace the old mySDCars.gov website.

How do you access the new portal?
South Dakotans can take the new title and registration system for a test drive by visiting dor.sd.gov. Once you're there, select “Vehicle Registration and Plates” under Online Services.
If you don't feel comfortable with online registration, South Dakota motorists can still do their vehicle registration renewals and license plate tabs at the DMVNow Kiosks, found in several places throughout Sioux Falls like the Driver Exam Station at 2501 West Russell, the Hy-Vee Stores on Louise and Minnesota Avenue, and the Get-N-Go at 5400 East Arrowhead Parkway. All these locations accept credit and debit cards.
Vehicle registrations can also be done at the county treasurer's office.
Remember, you can use a DMVNow kiosk in any South Dakota county, not just the one you live in. You can also renew your license up to 90 days before it expires and up to 9 months after.
According to Dakota News Now, a new partner service platform will be available for licensed motor vehicle dealers and lenders in conjunction with the new my605Drive system.
