Playgrounds are such an essential part of childhood. All that physical activity, running, swinging, and climbing only add to the fun and physical fitness that are a part of growing up healthy and happy.

Additionally, they provide a space for kids to interact with other children, learn cooperation, and build friendships.

Playgrounds also contribute to the overall quality of life in cities by bringing communities together and serving as gathering points for families. The presence of a playground can positively impact property values too.

Lennox, South Dakota has had a playground in Westerman Park that has served the community for a long time. A really long time! And they are now looking to replace it.

The city has budgeted $50,000 for the new playground and now needs to raise the remaining $30,000 by the end of August 2024.

In order to raise the additional funds they have started a GoFundMe page that people can contribute to.
