South Dakota Bicyclist Plans to Ride 1000 Miles While Cracking Jokes
Have bike, will tell jokes.
That's how you can best describe South Dakota native Skylar Bolks this summer.
Bolks is preparing to embark on a "Jokes and Spokes" comedy tour via his bicycle over the next couple of months.

His comedy journey is a lead-up to his goal of riding RAGBRAI (July 19-26) in Iowa.
RAGBRAI is an annual ride for biking enthusiasts that lasts 7 days across the great state of Iowa.
Bolks told Dakota News Now his decision to ride RAGBRAI was all part of a goal to make some changes in his life. He has a history of doing stand-up comedy, and he recently decided to combine his passion for doing comedy with his new passion for biking.

As Dakota News Now reports, Bolks is planning a series of comedy shows in various eastern South Dakota towns along the route to RAGBRAI. He has 13 different shows planned before the RAGBRAI ride gets underway in mid-July.
Look for him to pedal into cities like Worthing, Valley Springs, Flandreu, Bruce, Corona, Aberdeen, Stratford, Huron, Mitchell, Webster, Brookings, and Watertown.
His comedy/biking adventure is set to get underway (June 5) at the Taco Vault in Worthing, South Dakota.
According to Bolks, when he gets around to pedaling into Brookings later this summer, he plans to strap a speaker on his back and tell jokes as he cruises the streets in the home of SDSU.
Doing a comedy tour by bicycle is pretty rare; only a few other folks have attempted to try it, but Bolks feels he is up for the task.
