At last count there were over 700 restaurants in Sioux Falls, so you would think the odds of yet another national chain coming to town would be slim. You, of course, would be wrong.

According to Sioux Falls Business with Jodi Schwan, the next restaurant coming to the new Empire Place development in front of the Empire Mall is LongHorn Steakhouse. It is owned by Darden Restaurants, based in Orlando, Florida, which also owns competitor Outback Steakhouse and Olive Garden (among others) with 500 locations in 40 states.

Just last month Chipotle Mexican Grill announced their first location in Sioux Falls would also be located in Empire Place.

"LongHorn’s signature menu items include the center-cut Flo’s Filet, prime rib, parmesan-crusted chicken and LongHorn salmon. A lunch menu features more than 30 combinations, including salads and Steakhouse burgers."

The realtors for Empire Place promise even more announcements for the retail center in the weeks and months to come, as Sioux Falls continues to be a highly desirable business location in the country.

The only problem with having, even more, dining choices in town? It elongates the, "Where do you want to eat?" conversation by - - a lot!
