New Sioux Falls Road Construction On Minnesota Ave. & 12th St.
Major road construction projects are set to begin across key areas of Sioux Falls starting Friday.
On Friday, April 17, road work will begin focusing on concrete repairs along West 12th Street and North Minnesota Avenue, with each project expected to last approximately two weeks, weather permitting.
On West 12th Street, westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane in two separate stretches.
The first closure will run between Ebenezer Avenue and Marion Road, while a second closure will take place between Kiwanis Avenue and Westport Avenue.
The exact location of lane restrictions will shift as construction crews move through different sections of the roadway.
In addition, southbound traffic on North Minnesota Avenue will be reduced to one lane near Hangar Street. Similar to the 12th Street work, the closure area will change as repairs progress.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and remain alert when traveling through construction zones.
Reduced speeds and increased caution will help ensure the safety of both workers and motorists.
Whenever possible, motorists may want to consider alternate routes to avoid delays.
