Sioux Falls Police are still trying to find the man responsible for robbing a Sioux Falls business on the 1600 block of Minnesota Avenue on Wednesday night (July 5).

KDLT News is reporting the incident took place around 11:30 PM that evening. The suspect involved is described as either a Hispanic or Native American male, wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, white shoes, and a bandana around his face.

The man is between 5'8"and 5'10" tall and weighs around 180 pounds according to the KDLT News report.

Police told KDLT News, the suspect entered the Freedom Gas Station located at 1601 South Minnesota Avenue late Wednesday night, lifted the sweatshirt he was wearing to show the employee on duty that he had a firearm. Then demanded the clerk give him money.

Authorities say the suspect immediately fled the scene of the robbery with an undetermined amount of cash, and that no one was hurt in the process.

Wednesday night's robbery and the suspect in question are nearly identical to another unsolved robbery that happened in Sioux Falls earlier in the week.

Anyone with further information regarding both robberies is asked to please contact Sioux Falls Police or the Sioux Empire Crime Stoppers Hotline number at 367-7007.
