
Sioux Falls Brings The World To You At Festival Of Cultures
You could take a trip around the world this weekend, and you don't even have to leave Sioux Falls.

The Festival of Cultures is this Saturday, June 14, at the Levitt Sioux Falls. The day kicks off with a family-friendly concert from Hot Peas N Butter and continues throughout the day.

What is the schedule for performers and the type of music they play?
- 10:30 AM - Hot Peas N Butter/ Family-friendly global grooves
- 11:45 AM - Levitt Jam Camp Showcase/ World Music Explorers
- 12:40 PM - Etta & the Vendetta/ Funk & Soul
- 1:40 PM - Nepali Dancers
- 2:25 PM - Los Dos de Sinaloa/ Musica Norteña
- 3:25 PM - Abatimbo Group/ Burundi Drummers
- 7:00 PM - Latitude Ensemble/ Colombian Guitar
There is a break in the music for the Parade of Flags at 7:40 PM, and then the grand finale musical performance will be Espiral 7 playing Latin Pop/Rock Fusion.
What is there for kids to do?
Throughout the day, the kids zone will be buzzing with fun stuff for your kids to do, like testing their green thumbs by planting plants, painting, necklace making, blowing lots of bubbles, and even a bean bag toss.
In the Global Village, you'll be able to get your global traveler passport stamped as you visit cultures from around the world, including Mexico, Haiti, South Korea, South Sudan, the Black Student Association from SDSU, and many more.
What kind of foods will be available?
There will be a large variety of food trucks and food vendors with everything from authentic Egyptian food to Mexican, Mediterranean, Guatemalan, and more. The SDSU Ice Cream truck will be there with cool treats, too.

Volunteers are still being accepted at the Lutheran Social Services website. So you can get in on the fun and help with this great community event.
