"Wags & Wine" returns to Downtown Sioux Falls on Friday, August 7, combining two popular events into one unforgettable evening. From 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Phillips Avenue between 9th and 11th Streets will be closed to traffic and transformed into a lively pedestrian playground for Open Streets.

A Playful Evening: Open Streets and Family Activities

Instead of cars, you'll find games, family activities, live entertainment, local vendors, and lots of four-legged friends enjoying the festivities alongside their humans.

The evening also features the popular Summer Art & Wine Walk, where more than 20 downtown businesses will welcome local artists and offer wine tastings as you browse galleries, pop-up exhibits, and creative displays. It's a great excuse to wander through downtown, discover a new favorite artist, and maybe even find a bottle of wine you love.

This year's Wags & Wine theme puts dogs in the spotlight. Pet lovers can visit with local rescues and businesses including Paws Pet Resort, Roxi & Co., Home Away From Home, Groomer's Choice, 605 Boxer Rescue, Almost Home Canine Rescue, Woofs & Waves, and more. Whether you're bringing your own pup or simply enjoy meeting everyone else's, there will be plenty of wagging tails throughout the evening.

One of the best parts? You can park once and spend the night exploring everything downtown has to offer - from unique shops and restaurants to art galleries and outdoor gathering spaces.

If you'd like to participate in the Art & Wine Walk, punch passes can be purchased in advance and picked up the night of the event at the Downtown Sioux Falls "Will Call" tent.

And if you're not quite ready to call it a night, the fun continues with an Open Streets Street Dance from 8:00 until 10:00 PM at Cherapa Place, featuring live music from The Undercover Band.
