Monkey Business. Great Plains Zoo Warns Public of Online Ticket Scam
Scammers are busy working their magic again here in the Sioux Empire.
It appears there's a little monkey business going on right now regarding a scam surrounding the Sioux Falls Great Plains Zoo.
Dakota News Now has a story regarding a too-good-to-be-true ticket offer scam that the public needs to be on the lookout for.

Evidently, scammers have created a series of social media ads promoting a 60th-anniversary special that offers zoo ticket packages that are 4 for $6.95!
The erroneous zoo ads appearing on social media platforms are not isolated to just the Great Plains Zoo in Sioux Falls. Identical ads have also been popping up on social media sites for other zoos throughout the U.S. including, the Minnesota Zoo, Virginia Zoo, the San Francisco Zoo, and over a dozen others located throughout the country.
If you happen to spot one of these phony ads online, the Great Plains Zoo asks that you report the ad to the social media platform you saw it on. And whatever you do, do not provide any personal or financial information to the scammers behind the erroneous offers.
According to Dakota News Now, the only deal the Great Plains Zoo and the Butterfly House and Aquarium are offering at this time is their “Sea & Snow” package which includes tickets for both locations for $21.50.
Remember, the easiest and safest way to stay on top of the pricing and various deals the Great Plains Zoo is offering the public is to visit them directly at GreatZoo.org.
