Sioux Falls Ride Honors America’s Missing and Fallen Warriors
Honoring Forgotten Heroes
Engines will rumble through Sioux Falls this Memorial Day weekend for a powerful cause as Rolling Thunder Inc. South Dakota Chapter 1 hosts its annual “Ride For Freedom” demonstration on Sunday, May 24.
The annual event shines a spotlight on American Prisoners of War and service members Missing in Action who remain unaccounted for from past and present military conflicts. Organizers say the demonstration serves as both a tribute and a reminder that these heroes, and their families, must never be forgotten.

Participants riding motorcycles and driving cars are invited to gather beginning at 12:45 PM at J&L Harley-Davidson (2601 W. 60th St., Sioux Falls). The 17-mile demonstration ride will depart at 1:15 PM and travel through Sioux Falls before ending at Sioux Falls Veterans Memorial Park.
An official honor program will begin at 2:00 PM at the memorial park. During the ceremony, attendees will hear the stories and profiles of fallen and missing American heroes from multiple wars and conflicts. Organizers hope the event helps preserve the memory of those who never returned home while educating the public about the ongoing POW-MIA issue.
