If statistics are to be believed coworking spaces continue to grow by leaps and bounds. There are approximately 35,000 flexible workspaces around the globe. In the U.S., the growth of these brainstorming, business-growing, thought-sharing places, continues at a steady pace of around 6% a year and 13% elsewhere in the world.

The Bakery, in downtown Sioux Falls, closed its doors in 2017. But during its existence, it was a springboard for and birthplace of many area businesses.

Now, a new "networking center for women" is gearing up to open in February in the former Boutique Jillian retail space near 49th & Louise on Racket Drive. The Kitchen will offer memberships at 3 different price levels, will have space for 75 members, conference space and will also offer child care services from 8 AM to 5 PM each day.

They will also have private rooms available and host educational and social events throughout the year.
