Two weather alerts are currently in effect for portions of northwest Iowa, southwest Minnesota, and southeast South Dakota:
Cold Weather Advisory - In Effect Now Until Noon Today
Wind chills dropping to -33°F
Valid through noon CST today
Extreme Cold Warning - Starting Tonight
Wind chills dropping to -43°F
In effect from 9 PM tonight through noon CST Tuesday
DANGER: At these temperatures, frostbite can occur on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
Stay Safe: If you must go outside:
Dress in multiple layers
Wear a warm hat
Use a face mask
Put on insulated gloves
Minimize time outdoors
Exercise extreme caution while traveling
Please take these warnings seriously and limit outdoor exposure during these dangerous conditions.
