Was there a shooting by the Empire Mall last night?

According to a Sioux Falls Police Department news release, just before 7 PM on Wednesday evening, (June 22), there was a police officer-involved shooting incident near the Empire Mall.

A police department drone was used to survey the crime area. No one was injured and the investigation continues.

Cities on the east and west side of the Missouri River have made the latest list of South Dakota's Most Dangerous Cities for 2021.
