Dead Woman In Back Of Car Stopped In South Dakota Identified
Just before noon on Monday, Jan. 1st a South Dakota State Trooper saw a driver traveling eastbound in Lawrence County going 118 miles an hour. The driver didn’t stop when directed to do so, and a pursuit took place.
Law enforcement eventually spiked the vehicle tires which came to a stop on I-90 inside Rapid City limits.
Tosten Lommen, 30, of Santa Cruz, California tried to run but was arrested. When officers searched the vehicle they found the body of a deceased female wrapped in a blanket.
According to a news release from the South Dakota Attorney General the dead woman has been identified as Lommen's mother, 58-year-old Michelle Nanette Walsh.
Loman remains incarcerated on charges of aggravated eluding and drunk driving. An autopsy was conducted on the woman, but no details from the autopsy have been released.
