Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota Snow Totals Way Below Normal
It's been a weird winter without much snow over large portions of Minnesota, Iowa, and South Dakota. Here's how far below average much of the area is so far this season.
According to the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls many locations across Minnesota, Iowa, and South Dakota are way below average for snowfall.

- Yankton, SD: 13.9”
- Brookings, SD: -8.4”
- Pierre, SD: -8.3”
- Watertown, SD: -8.2”
- Marshall, MN: -11.0”
- St. Cloud, MN: -8.3”
- Sioux City, IA: -6.8”
- Rock Rapids, IA: -11.1”
- Spencer, IA: -16.5”
With the lack of snow, some of the season's coldest temperatures are forecast for the Midwest.
The NWS is saying we can expect cold and windy conditions through Wednesday, then warming up later in the week.
