Massive Donut Recall Due To Food Poisoning Risk
A long list of donuts and pastries were recalled in January 2025 due to possible contamination.
According to People.com the recall includes multiple donut products typically found at Dunkin' locations nationwide.
The FDA classified this as a Class II recall on February 5, indicating potential temporary health risks.
In a statement, FGF Brands said, "At FGF, food safety is our top priority," Adding that, "[t]he voluntary recall was completed over a month ago (early January), and does not implicate anything that is currently, or was recently on the market. All donuts are completely safe to eat. The voluntary recall was a precautionary measure based on non product related findings at one of our donut facilities in the US. No donuts or food contact surfaces ever tested positive for listeria. The voluntary recall applied only to donut products in the U.S. We take food safety seriously and acted with an abundance of caution."
The recall affected 60 different products made before December 13, 2024, including:
- Various donut flavors
- Pączkis
- Cinnamon sticks
- French crullers
- Apple fritters
