Lindell Refuses To Concede Minnesota Republican Governors Primary

MyPillow founder Mike Lindell is refusing to concede Minnesota’s Republican gubernatorial primary, citing what he describes as irregularities in the vote totals.

Lindell, who was backed by President Donald Trump, trailed Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth by roughly 11 percentage points, according to Decision Desk HQ.

Despite the gap, Lindell said he would not concede.

During an appearance on LindellTV, the candidate questioned whether he should accept a projected result from The Associated Press.

Lindell said: “Why would I listen to the AP?”

He added that hundreds of thousands of votes remained to be counted and that he was unwilling to give up the race while the counting process continued.

Lindell’s campaign has raised questions about the vote totals but has not established evidence that irregularities would change the outcome of the primary.

Election results can change as additional ballots are counted, but unofficial totals are subject to canvassing and certification by election officials.

Lindell stepped down as MyPillow’s CEO to focus on his campaign.

Demuth’s apparent victory places her in position to represent Republicans in Minnesota’s gubernatorial contest, pending the completion and certification of the primary results.
